Bear Creek is located flows to Canyon Creek, 28 mi. NE of Goodnews, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Prospectors' name reported in 1916 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Brooks and others, 1918, p. 61). Gold claims for placer mining were staked along this stream in 1917, although gold may have been found here as early as 1900 or 1901.
