Carter (historical) is located on shore of Carter Bay, S of mouth of Carter Creek, 18 mi. NW of Goodnews, Kilbuch-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Name of former settlement now identified by two abandoned cabins. The name was published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1916 Coast Pilot (p. 284).
