Description
Snipe Point is located in Eagle Bay, on S coast of Unalaska I., Aleutian Islands.
History
So named by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1937 "because of the large number of Russian snipe noted along the shoreline of the point."
