Description
Lance Point is located on SW coast of Unalaska I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named for triangulation station Lance which was established on this point by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1936. This point was reported as Lake Point by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) in 1888, "because early charts showed a lake in the vicinity."
