Description
Cape Wrangell is located on W tip of Attu I., westernmost point of Aleutian Islands.
History
Named for Baron von Wrangell by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 328), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). The name was published by the Russians as "Mys Vrangelya" or "Cape Wrangell," i in 1848 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1400.
