Description
Etienne Bay is located on SW coast of Attu I., extends E from Etienne Head, Aleutian Islands. 5.5 miles long.
History
Name was proposed in 1938 by U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office; shown as Portage Bay on a manuscript map by L. M. Turner in the 1880's. "Saint Etienne" was possibly a former name for Attu Island (Baker, 1906, p. 108).
