Description
Martin Harbor is located on SE side of Korovin Bay, on NW coast of Atka I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named for Captain Martin Klinkofstrom of the Russian-American Company, "Peshtchanaia anse," meaning "Sandy Bay," by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 313), who first used the bay, according to Dall (1873, p. 114). It was called Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
