History
Translation of "Nerpichi" shown on Rissian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1379 the feature is shown as Seal Cape on 1882 U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) chart, although 1916 Coast Pilot (p. 182) describes it as Hair Seal Cape.
