Enclosed by the Kudiakof Islands, 10 mi N of Fort Randall and the village of Cold Bay, at SW end of Alaska Peninsula, Bristol Bay Low. 12 miles long.

Name given and published by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 262), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "Izenbeck" for surgeon Karl Izembek, am member of his party.
