Description
Located just east of the boundary with Wyoming, 9.7 km (6 mi) east of Newcastle, Wyoming.
History
One theory is that the feature was named in honor of a Professor Frannie (sic). Another theory suggests that it was named for a girl who lived near the feature in pioneer times. (SD-T17/p394)
