History
Named for the family of Daniel Faler (1851-1898), who lived in the Green River valley in the early 1890's. The Faler family emigrated to California during the Gold Rush, but after becoming disillusioned, they returned to Wyoming, where they settled in the Green River valley and suffered through the extreme winter of 1889-1890.
