1.4 km 0.9 mi) NW of the highest point on Coffin Butte, where an unmapped trail leads from West DeNoir Creek in the Dundee Meadows E to East DeNoir Creek, 1.3 km (0.8 mi) SW of Perry N Boday Lake and 36 km (22.5 mi) NW of Dubois.

Named for Kay Bowles (1939-1992), a Game Warden in the Wind River area of the Shoshone National Forest.
