The name Cook Lake was changed by the Wisconsin Geographic Names Council to Dick and Don Lake, to recognize the names of the indivduals who own the lake; however, the change is not official for Federal use as the intended honorees do not satisfy the criteria of the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) Commemorative Names Policy.
