Description
Located west of Case Inlet in the southern portion of the Puget Sound, 10 mi. north of Olympia.
History
Although the spelling is inconsistent with biographical records, the island was named for U.S. Navy Commodore Henry Julius Hartstene (1814-1868). The spelling Harstine recognizes local use and preference.
