Description
Located 5.8 km (3.6 mi) south of the junction of Copper Creek and East Fork Lewis River, 4.6 km (2.9 mi) west-northwest of Silver Star Mountain.
History
"Kloochman" is a Nootka and Salish word meaning "woman". Two proposals to change the name were submitted and considered by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN). The BGN rejected a proposal for the name Chinook Ridge in favor of Kloochman Butte.
