Description
A tributary of Bennett Creek, 3.2 mi. upstream of its confluence with the Nansemond River, adjacent to the community of Bennett Harbor.
History
Named in association with the road that runs alongside the bay and which provided access to the wharf that was used by traders traveling through the area.
