Description
Heads on the W slope of Powell Mountain, trends NW to join the valley thrugh which flows the North Fork Shenandoah River, 4.3 km (2.7 mi) E of Edinburg, 4.5 km (2.8 mi) S of Woodstock.

This name describes the forty foot drop of this feature into the North Fork Shenandoah River.
