Description
Heads 3.2 km (2 mi) southeast of Linden, trends east and to the south of Hardscrabble Mountain to join the valley through which flows West Branch Thumb Run, 1.6 km (1 mi) west of Wind Hill.
History
Named for William Rowles (1759-1846), Revolutionary War soldier who served as a private in the Third Virginia Regiment, and who later became a local land owner.
