Located on Fiftymile Creek about one mile upstream from its junction with the Escalante River. Now inundated by Lake Powell.
History
Named for Herbert E. Gregory, a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) geologist, who made the first geological and geographical study of the Escalante area; by its discoverer, Norman D. Nevills.
