Description
Was sometimes called Copper Creek because of copper deposits found near its head. One of its upper tributaries is still called Copper Creek. (UT-T34/#61)

Historically significant for a wagon road which ran along it and which was main access to Smith, California and Mogui Bars during the 1880's and 1890's (UT-T34/#61)
