Description
Heads on the S slope of Gilbert Peak in Gilbert Creek Basin, flows ESE to join the North Fork Uinta River and form the Uinta River, 69 km (43 mi) NNE of Duchesne.
History
Named for Grove Karl Gilbert (?-1918), A prominent geologist who worked in the area. (US-T121/1984)
