Description
Langtry is located in SW Val Verde County, along the Rio Grande, about 80 km (50 mi) NW of the community of Del Rio.
History
This community was named for a construction engineer, who directed and supervised a group of Chinese construction workers who were building a road through western Val Verde County around 1880.
