Description
Formed by damming the North Concho River, 4.8 km (3 mi.) northwest of San Angelo.
History
Named by Congressional action, Public Law 93-634, January 3, 1975, for Ovie Clark Fisher (1903-1994), Member of Congress from 21st Texas District from 1943 to 1974. Construction of the dam was authorized under the flood control acts of 1941 and 1944.
