Description
Located 11 mi. NE of Comfort, 12 mi. SW of Stonewall; the variant name Mount Alamo refers to that of a community that was planned in the early 20th century but was never developed.
History
In 2013, the BGN considered a proposal to change the name of the summit to Mount Alamo, but the change was rejected citing a lack of local and State support.
