Description
Located on the eastern shore of Cedar Creek Lake at the crossroads of State Highway 334 and 198, approximately 105 km (65 mi) southeast of Dallas.
History
Incorporated in 1969 and known as the "heart of Cedar Creek Lake", the city was named for State Highway 334 which is "as straight as a gun barrel." (US-T147/2/29/00/Email)
