Description
Mount Huffman is located located in Panther Pass in the Chisos Mountains, 8.8 km (5.5 mi) SW of Big Bend NP headquarters, NW of the road leading to The Basin Ranger Station.
History
Named for Calvin C Huffman (1907-1980), legislator from Texas who, in 1941, introduced a bill to provide funds for acquisition of land to create the Big Bend National Park.
