An artificial lake on S side of the Angelina River, 8 mi N of Lufkin and 10 mi S of Nacogdoches. 770 acres in size.
History
Named for E L Kurth (died 10/26/60), leading businessman in the area, former president of Southland Paper Mills. Reservoir completed in 1961.
