Description
Located between West Gimlet Creek and Boxelder Creek.
History
Reportedly named for an woman named "Mrs Lakota" who lived at the base of the mountain by virtue of a "squatters claim" but was later evicted by the Government. The land was later bought by the Minnesota Mining Company, which allowed Mrs Lakota to return to her home. (SD-T17/p395)
