Description
Located in northeastern South Dakota, 61 km (38 mi) northeast of Aberdeen; County Seat: Britton.
History
Created and organized in 1885; named for New York native Marshall Vincent, who originally settled in Andover then moved to Britton in 1883 where he operated a flour and feed business. Mr Vincent later became County Commissioner when the county was created in 1885. (SD-T17/p29)
