Located in southeastern South Dakota, 85 km (53 mi) southwest of Sioux Falls; County Seat: Olivet.
History
Created in 1862, organized in 1871, and named for John S Hutchinson, First Secretary of the Dakota Territory from 1861-1865. (SD-T17/p27)
