Description
Joe Creek is a tributary of the Missouri River from the north, just west of Big Bend.
History
Named for nearby Joe Creek, which was named for Joe Arnold, an Indian who lived at the mouth of the stream in the 1870s, and who sold wood to the steamboats travelling up and down the Missouri River. (SD-T17/p204)
