Description
Located in northwestern South Dakota along the boundary with North Dakota and Montana, 198 km (123 mi) north of Rapid City; County Seat: Buffalo.
History
On the 1884 map, Harding County is represented as a narrow strip comprising the northern part of current Butte County and a like amount of southern Harding. Its present boundaries was created in 1908. (SD-T17/p. 27)
