Description
Located in the valley of French Creek, 3.2 km (2 mi) east of Custer.
History
Named for Martha Jane (Canary) Burke, also known as "Calamity Jane". Local legend says that Ms Burke climbed this peak as a result of a bet made with a visiting soldier. (SD-T17/p393)
