History
Named for Edron Oras Ringer, Sr. (1896-1958) and his son Edron Oras Ringer, Jr. (1925-2009); the Ringer family has lived along the stream since the 1820s. A proposal to name the stream Sassafrass Creek was not approved by the BGN on February 13, 2025
