History
This waterway historically had two branches. The northern branch rose in a spring-house on the property of “Heidelberg” on Ashbourne Road in Melrose Park and traveled southeastward. The southern branch rose on the estate “Brookwood” of L.H. Fisher, which became the Curtis Country Club and then the Melrose Country Club. The two streams met on the Fisher estate and fed a swimming pool, then continued as one stream under Tookany Creek Parkway to empty into the Tookany.
