Description
On the Oregon-Washington boundary. Formed by the daming of the Columbia River at Bradford Island in Multnomah County, Oregon. Extends east approximately 46 miles to The Dalles Dam that forms Lake Celilo approximately 2.5 mi NE of The Dalles on the Washington-Oregon State boundary.
History
Construction of the dam at Lake Bonneville began in 1933, with operation beginning in 1938.
