Description
In the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, located 0.8 km (0.5 mi) upriver from Multnomah Falls, 1 km (0.6 mi) from the confluence of Multnomah Creek and the Columbia River.
History
Named for Albert Wiesendanger (1893-1989), a U.S. Forest Service employee from 1909 until 1948 who served as Columbia District Ranger for Mount Hood NF and later as a private citizen he served as Executive Secretary for "Keep Oregon Green", a forest fire prevention organization.
