Description

Heads in Oklahoma at the junction of Corrumpa and Seneca Creeks, flows E into Texas for 15 mi, then into Oklahoma again to join Wolf Creek to form the North Canadian River 12 mi NNW of Woodward.

History

1914 decision revision for North Canadian River, which included Beaver River and Corrumpa Creek as part of the main stream; the portion described above is named Beaver River in Oklahoma; this was true when the 1914 decision was made, though some maps did use North Canadian or North Fork Canadian; a 1965 historical atlas of Oklahoma states "the earliest maps show the North Fork of the Canadian formed by the confluence of Beaver and Wolf Creeks".
