Description
Heads 3.2 km (2 mi) north of Broadview Heights, flows between the communities of Seven Hills and Parma, to enter the Cuyohoga River, just west of Interstate 77; within Cuyahoga Valley National Park and West Creek Preserve.
History
Originally named for the family of farmer David Skinner who owned a farm in Independence, and who was murdered in 1868. Renamed for the West family, prominent area landowners in the 1880s.
