Description
Located in north central North Carolina along the boundary with Virginia, 55 km (34 mi) north of Durham; County Seat: Roxboro.
History
Formed in 1791 from Caswell County; named for General Thomas Person (1733-1800), officer in the Revolutionary War and North Carolina Statesman. (NC-T11/p378-9)
