Description
Heads on the NE slope of Long John Mountain, flows SE 3.2 km (2 mi) into Hendersonville, then NE to Mud Creek, 1.6 km (1 mi) S of Balfour.
History
Named for James C Brittain who owned land along the stream and in 1841 made a donation of the land for the establishment of Hendersonville.
