Description
Located along the Cape Fear River, 11.3 km (7 mi) northwest of Lillington.
History
Originally named Patterson's Rock after an early settler who found refuge after his canoe capsized along the Cape Fear River. In 1854, the name was changed to Raven Rock for the many ravens that formerly roosted along the rock ledges.
