Located in southeastern North Carolina, 63 km (39 mi) north of Wilmington; County Seat: Kenansville.
History
Formed in 1750, named for Thomas Hay (1710-1787), Lord Duplin who was a member of the Board of Trade and Plantations. (NC-T11/p152)
