Description
Formed by two small streams, its width ranging from 1.8 m (6 ft) to 4.6 m (15 ft), heads 2.4 km (1.5 mi) SE of Bynum, flows E to join the Haw River.
History
Named for the Haven Estate, within which the feature flows, which was named "to indicate that the estate is prepared to shelter and sustain all comers, in the event of natural disaster."
