In the Catskill Mountains, 9.7 km (6 mi) SSW of Phoenicia; consists of Cornell, Slide, and Wittenberg Mountains.
History
Named for John Burroughs (1837-1921), nature essayist whose forte was the observation of nature with accompanying poetical or philosophical commentary.
