Description
Heads just south of Townsend Hill, in the Town of Concord, then flows south to join Cattaraugus Creek.
History
A proposal to change the name Spooner Creek to Smith Brook was submitted in October 1995; on 8 February 2001, the BGN rejected the proposal. The decision was made in agreement with the New York State Geographic Names Committee, which determined that there was a lack of evidence of overwhelming local support for the name change.
