Description
Located along the Rio Grande, 98 km (61 mi) S of Albuquerque, 21.7 km (13.5 mi) N of Socorro and 1 km (0.6 mi) E of Alamillo.
History
Named for Saint San Acacio (correct spelling), a Roman soldier who was slain in early times because of his Christian faith, and whose statue has been made popular by local artists.
