Description
Located within the Gila Wilderness in Gila NF, SE of the confluence of Adobe Canyon and the East Fork Gila River, 8 km (5 mi) E of the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument.
History
Named for Donaciano Montoya, who homesteaded and ranched in the area in the early 20th century; homestead ruins remain on the land.
