Description
Located in Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area, on the boundary between Kinnelon Borough and Montville Township, just W of Taylortown Reservoir, 1.3 km (.8 mi) NW of Turkey Mountain, 5.8 km (3.6 mi) NNE of the Town of Boonton.
History
descriptive name; Another proposal was submitted simultaneously to name this feature High Mountain. The USBGN rejected this name based on the preponderance of evidence in support of the name Pyramid Mountain.
