Description
Extends in a NE-SW direction, northwest of East Longwell Ridge, on the east end of the Muddy Mountains.
History
named in 1980 by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for Dr Chester Ray Longwell (1887-1975) who performed the initial geological studies of the Muddy Mountains 362120N1143100W (NE end), 361830N1143300W (SW end)
